What Is CBD?
CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol (Can-a-bid-i-ol), a prominent naturally occurring class of molecules called cannabinoids found in the plant genus Cannabis Sativa L. CBD comprises up to 40% of the plant and is one of over 60 plus compounds found in cannabis. Of these compounds, CBD and THC are usually present in the highest concentrations, and are therefore the most recognized and studied. CBD is a non- psychoactive component of the plant that possesses a wide range of benefits and does not cause a high, unlike THC. Our bodies are made up of an endocannabinoid system and use cannabinoids to maintain healthy cells.
How Is Our CBD Oil Manufactured?
Our Hemp is grown and Harvested with 100% USDA certification in Oregon. Here at Nyssa Valley Naturals, we pride ourselves on making sure our products are as healthy and solvent free as possible for our clients. While some CO2 extraction occurs for our vape-ready distillate, we use nothing but hot air extraction for our tinctures.
What’s The Difference Between Hemp & Marijuana?
Scientifically, industrial Hemp and Marijuana are the exact same plant, with a genus and species name of Cannabis Sativa. Surprising, to learn, we know. Each plant has a diverse genetic profile. Industrial Hemp is always a strain of Cannabis sativa, while marijuana can be any of the three strains, Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, or Cannabis ruderalis. Hemp has multiple uses. It contains, fibrous bast, a rough hurd and the oil rich seed and leaves.
99% of the time marijuana has a high amount of THC alongside its CBD content. Hemp, on the other hand, naturally has a very high amount of CBD in most instances, and only a trace amount of THC. Fortunately, the cannabinoid profile of hemp is ideal for people looking for benefits from cannabis without the ‘high.’ Hemp is used for making herbal supplements, food, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and so much more, whereas marijuana is usually used just recreationally, spiritually, and medicinally. In the USA the legal definition of “industrial hemp,” per Section 7606 of the Agricultural Appropriations Act of 2014, is “INDUSTRIAL HEMP — The term ‘‘industrial hemp’’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”
Is CBD Oil Legal?
There is no need for a prescription or medical card to purchase hemp CBD. It is a natural constituent of the high CBD Hemp strains of the plant containing very low levels of THC. Having only trace amounts of THC, our hemp CBD oil is non-psychoactive and legal in all 50 states.
CBD Oil/Hemp Oil and other hemp products are considered to be food-based. As such, there are currently no restrictions on the production, sale and consumption of hemp oil in the United States. CBD Oil/Hemp Oil is legal in most countries in the world as long is it contains low or in some countries untraceable concentrations of the molecule THC.
How should I store my CBD? What is the shelf life?
For the best shelf life please store in a cool dark area, this will assure there is no loss in potency. Don’t allow to sit in direct sunlight. If properly stored CBD has around a 1 year shelf life!
Will I Fail A Drug Test If I Take CBD Products?
The hemp oil in our product contains CBD which is a LEGAL cannabinoid from hemp. It contains minuscule amounts (parts per billion) of THC that COULD show up in a drug screen. Nyssa Valley Naturals cannot guarantee that you will or will not pass a drug screen due to the amount of variables. Our products contain less than .3% THC. Drug screens vary and some can be more sensitive than others. If you have to take a drug test, it is best to not use our product.
What Is The Best Method Of Use?
For our dietary supplements we can only recommend them for internal consumption. If you don’t like the flavor of the oil supplements, you can mix with something sweet to add other natural flavor. Oils are to be taken sublingually and held under your tongue for 60-90 seconds before being swallowed.

Cbd oil on its own is safe for consumption as long as it is produced and refined by trained professionals. We do not recommend purchasing crude cbd oil for consumption.
What do I do if my vape cartridge has some crystallization? Is this a bad thing?
No! It is perfectly natural for cartridges of high cbd content to crystallize because of the high chemical purity. CBD has a roughly 160 degree melting point and does not fully mix with solvents it vastly outweighs. Since our carts are 75% CBD oil it is natural for there to be sole crystallization. The product still works perfectly fine and won’t damage your cart or battery. If it does bother you we suggest putting your cart only in a waterproof bag and placing it on some hot/boiled water for a few minutes.
*Please note, NVN is suspending commercials sale of its vape cartridges until further notice.
